iMovie Reflection
I learned quite a bit from reading the iMovie for iPad Starter Guide. Coming from someone who doesn't make movies often, this informational guide made it extremely easy to use the iMovie app and make the video seem pretty professional. Some pretty handy features that I found were those deemed as fine-tuning. The fade out background music allows the user to make the music softer at the end of a clip. Also, the trim an overlay feature was nifty as well. Another feature that iMovie provides is called overlaying videos. This allows the user to be able to have two videos visible on the screen side-by-side. That would be extremely beneficial in a classroom if you were trying to show two different things at the same time. Also, the user can adjust the speed of a clip which could possibly make the video being showed more intriguing.
Overall, I really liked making a trailer via the iMovie app. I was amazed at how easy it was to make and how professional looking the end product was. I would 100% recommend that educators explore this as a possible tool to use in their classrooms! After reading this, I earned my iMovie for iPad badge from the Apple Teacher website, and I encourage all current and future educators to get their badge as well!
